Our History

A first class technical facility services provider
Since it was established in 2000, Westway Services Limited has achieved continued year on year growth. Originally Westway was a building services design and installation company, and it has evolved into a first class technical facility services provider. As such, our core service areas cover mechanical, electrical, air conditioning and refrigeration maintenance and management.

Our customer base and the market sectors we operate in have grown to include commercial offices, critical business environments, financial services, banking, managing agents, healthcare, residential, leisure and retail.

Our Team

Imagination and enthusiasm are shared attributes amongst our staff. We actively seek these qualities when we are recruiting, and encourage and nurture them amongst our existing workforce. We have honed our skillsets and built expert teams to provide an all-round technical facility services capability. Investing in our staff not only helps secure their professional futures; it also underpins our exceptional service standards, and secures the reputation and performance of our company.

Westway’s apprenticeship training programme is pivotal to our success, and demonstrates our dedication to investing in young people. Apprentices commit to four years of structured training with us, developing into multi-skilled technicians or becoming specialists in refrigeration or electrical equipment. We are proud that all of our young apprentices have chosen to stay on with us, once their training programmes have been completed.

Quality, health and safety and the environment

Having robust but workable procedures in place for quality, health and safety, and the environment, is key to us delivering a strategy that’s profitable over the long term. Westway holds ISO9001, ISO14001 and ISO18001 accreditations, and we use the latest technology to automate the management processes around these.

We believe that our customers benefit from our exceptional quality, health and safety and environmental practice, at a local as well as a global level.

As a business, we take our responsibilities seriously: we’re committed to raising environmental performance, and to acting in the best interests of the wider communities we serve.

The way we conduct our business is something we are proud of. Adhering to clear standards in health and safety, quality and sustainability, ensures that our business activities are conducted in a professional and conscientious manner.

Community focus

Our culture encourages involvement in community activities, and to make sure this happens, we allow our employees sufficient time to volunteer. Our managing director leads by example, regularly volunteering his time. Westway actively supports various charities, including Michael Sobell House and Action for Children.

We are also increasing our investment in apprenticeships, raising participant numbers consistently year on year. Our mentoring scheme enables our apprentices to gain a better understanding of the whole business, and provides a stable environment in which they can flourish.
