Camelot

Case Study: Critical Business Environments

Taking the gamble out of data centre operations

Camelot runs the most cost-effective lottery in Europe, limiting operating costs to around 4% of total revenue.

Its head office comprises three buildings located in Watford, and incorporates its data centre. As Camelot’s trading platform, the IT infrastructure is business critical.

OUR ACTION – EXCEEDING KPI RESPONSE TIMES

Westway has two engineers permanently resident on the Camelot site. These engineers support the IT infrastructure, ensuring the data centre cooling and power services are always operational.

Our engineers respond to any plant failures on the business critical cooling plant and the close control air conditioning units, within just 1 hour.

Our performance at the Watford office exceeds the KPI response time of 2 hours. Westway also looks after two other Camelot buildings in Northampton and Liverpool, where periodic maintenance is carried out by our mobile engineers.

OUR RESULTS – MAXIMISING UPTIME

Westway has been working with Camelot for the past two years. We have maintained the services within this business critical environment to a high standard, optimising facilities and maximising IT infrastructure uptime.
