This is an altruistic initiative by Westway and Greater Manchester Universities will ensure that students looking for a career, an apprenticeship in construction get relevant experience that will mean they not only have a broad understanding of the industry but are also enhancing their opportunities and their engineering skills.

The Westway Academy is an initiative between the Westway management and Centre for Facilities Management at Greater Manchester Universities. Combining the academic studies of the university with the practical experience of a front-line building management services company such as Westway ensures that students who are embarking on a career in building services, or any of the other related building services, have a broad understanding of the demands of the industry. The Westway Academy programme will suit any degree or post graduate student who is not only looking for practical experience but is looking to further develop their career opportunities.

It is also ideal for engineers who already have practical experience and are looking to gain additional insight and to develop their skills.
